50 Common Questions About Globeia’s Fingerprinting Services in India

Fingerprinting for background checks, visas, or international applications can feel complicated but it doesn’t have to be. Whether you need ink fingerprint collection for RCMP Criminal Record Check applications for Canada, FBI background checks for the USA, or criminal record checks for another country, Globeia's ink fingerprint collection services in India make the process straightforward and well-coordinated. We have answered the 50 most common questions  our clients ask, so you know exactly what to expect, how to prepare, and how Globeia’s SmartForm and mobile fingerprinting make it faster, easier, and more secure than ever. With Globeia fingerprinting services in India, you get accuracy, speed, and convenience in a straightforward and well-coordinated process.

About the Service

1. What is mobile fingerprinting?

Mobile fingerprinting is a service where a trained associate comes to your home, office, or another location to take your fingerprints on official forms like the FD-258 or C-216C. It eliminates the need to visit a police station or travel to a fingerprinting center. In India, Globeia offers mobile fingerprinting for FBI, RCMP CRC, UAE, and other international background checks.

2. How is it different from police station fingerprinting?

Police station fingerprinting in India is often for local use and may not meet foreign agency standards. Mobile fingerprinting uses internationally approved forms and formats to ensure your prints are accepted by the FBI, RCMP, UAE Police, or other agencies. Plus, it’s faster, more private, and available on your schedule.

3. Can I get mobile fingerprinting in small cities in India?

Globeia currently operates across multiple major cities in India and is continuously expanding its mobile fingerprinting network to smaller cities as well. In many locations, a trained associate can visit your doorstep or arrange a nearby session, and we are rapidly scaling coverage to make international fingerprinting accessible in even more cities across India in the near future.

4. Do you provide same-day appointments?

In many cases, yes. If you’re in a major city, same-day or next-day appointments are often available. Urgent bookings may have a small extra fee to prioritize your session.

5. Can you come to my office instead of home?

Absolutely. Many clients request office visits for convenience or privacy, especially for corporate or embassy-related checks. We just need a clean, well-lit space with a table for fingerprinting.

6. Is mobile fingerprinting accepted internationally?

Yes, as long as the fingerprints are captured on the officially required forms and meet the specific standards for ink quality, rolling technique, and print orientation. Globeia ensures fingerprints are collected on the correct forms (such as FD-258/FD-1164 and C-216C) in line with the respective authority’s requirements.

7. Do you offer group/corporate fingerprinting?

Yes, Globeia works with corporate HR teams, law firms, visa consultants, and recruitment agencies to take fingerprints for multiple people in one session. This is ideal for bulk background checks for overseas hiring.

8. Can I get multiple fingerprint cards in one visit?

Yes, multiple fingerprint cards can be prepared in a single visit. In fact, many applicants choose to have extra copies taken during the same appointment so they have backup sets available in case of rejection or for future international applications.

9. How long does a session take?

Most individual appointments take 20-30 minutes. If you need multiple cards or have more than one applicant, it can take longer.

10. Do I need to bring anything for the appointment?

Bring a valid government-issued photo ID (passport is preferred), along with any instructions or reference details provided by the requesting authority. If available, keep your personal information ready for form accuracy. Globeia’s associate brings all required fingerprint cards, ink, and equipment to the appointment.

For FBI Background Checks

11. Which form does the FBI require?

The FBI only accepts FD-258 or FD-1164 fingerprint cards for background checks. These have a specific order starting with the right thumb to right little, then left thumb to left little.

12. Can you provide the FBI FD-258 card?

Yes, we provide original FBI-approved cards at the time of your mobile fingerprinting session. We never use photocopies or unofficial formats.

13. Do I need rolled or flat fingerprints for the FBI?

The FBI requires rolled fingerprints (nail edge to nail edge) for each finger. They may also ask for flat impressions of both hands in some cases for verification.

14. How are my fingerprint cards submitted to the FBI?

Your completed ink fingerprint cards are securely couriered to Globeia Inc. in San Francisco, USA, where they are reviewed and processed for submission to the FBI in accordance with the required procedures.

15. How long will FBI results take from India?

Timelines are determined by the FBI based on application type and processing workload. For applicants using Globeia, U.S. citizens and Green Card holders may typically receive results within 1-3 business days after submission, while non-U.S. citizens usually receive results within 2-3 weeks. Additional courier and mailing time from India may apply.

16. Can I use Indian police fingerprints for the FBI?

A big no. Indian police fingerprint formats do not meet FBI requirements in terms of card type (FD-258/FD-1164) and rolling standards, which can lead to rejection. The FBI requires properly captured rolled ink fingerprints on approved forms for acceptance.

17. Do you help with the FBI apostille after results?

Yes, we can coordinate apostille and embassy attestation once your FBI report is issued, for countries like Spain, Italy, or the UAE. Please note that Globeia does not directly apostille official government documents. All apostille and authentication requests are submitted by our company to the designated competent government authority on your behalf.

For RCMP Criminal Record Checks

18. What is the C-216C form?

The C-216C is the official fingerprint form used for Canadian Criminal Record Checks. It captures rolled and flat ink fingerprints along with essential personal identification details required for submission to RCMP CCRTIS through an RCMP-accredited channel.

19. Does RCMP require fingerprints to be taken in a specific way?

The RCMP has specific requirements for how fingerprints must be captured on the official C-216C form including the correct order, rolling technique, and impression standards. This is exactly why fingerprints must always be collected in person by a trained Globeia India associate who is authorized by Globeia Incorporated and familiar with these requirements.

20. Can I use local police fingerprints for RCMP?

Fingerprints taken by an acceptable agency such as a police service or a foreign private fingerprinting company with an MOU with an accredited Canadian PFC- may be accepted, provided they are taken on the correct official form, include the name and address of the fingerprinting agency, the name of the official who took the prints, and meet RCMP quality standards. Globeia India's associates collect fingerprints specifically to meet these requirements. If you have existing prints taken elsewhere, contact us and we can advise whether they are likely to be accepted before you proceed.

21. What extra details are needed for RCMP forms?

Trained associate name, signature, official stamp, and your full personal details must be included. Some countries also require an official approval letter instead of a stamp.

22. How does Globeia India coordinate fingerprints for RCMP criminal record checks?

Globeia India collects your ink fingerprints on the official C-216C form at your location and mails the completed original form to Globeia Incorporated in Toronto. Globeia Incorporated, as the RCMP-accredited entity, digitizes the form and submits it electronically to RCMP CCRTIS from Canada. Please note that Globeia India is not accredited by the RCMP- RCMP accreditation is held exclusively by Globeia Incorporated in Toronto.

23. How long does RCMP processing take?

Processing times range from 3 to 120 days and are determined entirely by the RCMP based on your individual application and their workload. Mailing time from India to Globeia Incorporated in Toronto is additional to this.

Mobile Fingerprinting Specific Questions

24. What technology do Globeia associates use for mobile fingerprinting?

Our trained associates use high-quality black fingerprinting ink and officially approved fingerprint forms - C-216C for RCMP CRC, FBI FD-258/FD-1164, and country-specific cards as required. All equipment and forms are brought to your location, so you do not need to arrange anything in advance.

25. Are mobile fingerprinting results as reliable as those taken at fingerprint centers?

Yes, mobile fingerprinting uses the same approved forms and procedures. Globeia’s quality checks ensure the prints meet agency standards.

26. How do you ensure fingerprint quality during a mobile session?

Trained associates perform on-the-spot reviews to check for smudges, clarity, and proper rolling, and will retake prints if needed before leaving.

27. Can mobile fingerprinting handle urgent or last-minute requests?

Yes, we accommodate urgent requests where possible. Priority appointments may carry an additional fee depending on your location and the notice given. Contact us to discuss availability for urgent bookings.

28. Is mobile fingerprinting suitable for children or elderly individuals?

Our trained associates are experienced in working with clients whose fingerprints may be faint, worn, or difficult to capture- including children and elderly individuals. Specialized techniques are used to capture the best possible impressions, and additional prints may be taken to ensure quality.

Technical and Format Questions

29. What ink color should be used?

Always use black ink for FBI, RCMP, and most international agencies. Other colors like blue or red cause automatic rejection.

30. Does Globeia India follow the correct finger sequence for each authority?

Each authority has specific requirements for how fingerprints must be captured including the sequence of fingers and the rolling technique. Globeia India's trained associates are familiar with these requirements for RCMP, FBI, and other international authorities and ensure every card is completed correctly. Clients do not need to know or manage these technical details- that is what our associates are trained for.

31.Do your associates check for smudges or unclear prints during the session?

An on-site quality check is built into every Globeia India appointment. The associate reviews each impression before leaving and retakes any print that does not meet the required standard. This reduces the risk of rejection at the receiving authority.

32. Does Globeia India offer digital fingerprinting?

Globeia India does not offer digital fingerprinting. All fingerprints collected in India are ink-based, captured on official approved forms by a trained Globeia India associate in person. Digital or electronic fingerprint capture is not available in India.

33. Do you accept ink-only fingerprints?

Yes. Globeia India supports ink-based fingerprint collection using officially approved physical forms such as C-216C, FD-258, and FD-1164, as required for international background checks.

34. Is Globeia India accredited by the RCMP?

Globeia India is not accredited by the RCMP. RCMP accreditation is held exclusively by Globeia Incorporated in Toronto, Canada. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police only accredits private fingerprinting companies that are physically located within Canada and does not accredit companies outside Canada. Globeia India operates under a memorandum of understanding with Globeia Incorporated for ink fingerprint collection in India.

Costs and Payment

35. How much does mobile fingerprinting cost in India?

Pricing varies depending on your location, the authority you are applying to, and the number of cards required. Visit our pricing page for a clear breakdown by service. There are no hidden fees- all costs are confirmed at the time of booking.

Yes. Same-day or priority appointments may carry an additional fee depending on your city and availability. Contact us to confirm current pricing for urgent bookings in your area.

37. Do you take payment in INR or USD?

We accept both INR and USD depending on your preference and location. Payment options are confirmed at the time of booking.

Rejections and Fixes

39. What if my fingerprints get rejected?

If a submission is rejected due to fingerprint quality, Globeia India can arrange a retake in line with the applicable service process. Clients should share the rejection notice, and our team will guide the next steps to ensure correct re-submission.

40. Do you offer free re-takes if rejected?

No. Retakes are chargeable as per the applicable service fees. If a resubmission is required, our team will review your rejection notice and guide you on the next steps to ensure the fingerprints are captured correctly for re-submission.

41. What are the most common reasons for rejection?

The most common reasons include unclear or smudged impressions, insufficient ink coverage, incomplete personal details on the form, and prints that do not meet the receiving authority's quality standards. Globeia India's on-site quality check is specifically designed to catch these issues before the form is dispatched.

42. Can you fix fingerprints that are too light or smudged?

If impressions are too light during a session, the associate adjusts technique, ink application, and rolling pressure and retakes the prints before the session ends. This is standard practice at every Globeia India appointment.

43. What happens if a form is missing fields?

Our associates ensure all required fields and details are correctly completed before finalising your form. If any information is missing, the associate will address it during the appointment. Incomplete forms risk rejection by the receiving authority which is why Globeia India's on-site review covers both print quality and form completeness together.

Security and Privacy

44. Who sees my fingerprint data?

Your fingerprint forms are handled only by Globeia India's authorized associates and, once mailed, by Globeia Incorporated in Toronto for RCMP submissions or Globeia Inc. in San Francisco for FBI submissions. The relevant authority RCMP or FBI receives the forms as part of the submission process.

45. Do you store my fingerprints?

Fingerprint forms are not retained by Globeia India after they are mailed to the relevant Globeia office. Globeia India does not archive, copy, or retain fingerprint impressions. All handling follows applicable privacy obligations under PIPEDA (Canada), applicable US privacy law, and Indian privacy regulations.

46. Is my information shared with anyone?

Your personal data is not shared with or sold to any third party. It is handled only by Globeia India's authorized associates and the relevant Globeia office for submission purposes. All data handling is in line with applicable privacy obligations.

Globeia India assists with ink fingerprint collection for international police clearances from countries including Australia (AFP National Police Check), Singapore, Hong Kong (CNCC), UAE, and others. Globeia India will help only with fingerprinting services for other international checks.

50. Does Globeia India issue the Police Clearance Certificate or criminal record check result?

Globeia India does not issue Police Clearance Certificates, criminal record check results, or FBI Identity History Summaries. These are issued directly by the relevant authority- the RCMP issues Canadian criminal record check results, and the FBI issues Identity History Summaries. Globeia India's role is to collect your ink fingerprints accurately on the correct official forms and coordinate the submission process through Globeia Incorporated in Toronto for RCMP Criminal Record checks and Globeia Inc. in San Francisco for FBI background checks. The issuing authority independently processes your submission and issues the result directly.
